Kōrero mō te tūranga - About the role

Te Herenga Waka - Victoria University of Wellington is currently recruiting for a Senior International Recruitment Manager with a passion and enthusiasm for international education and furthering opportunities for Te Herenga Waka - Victoria University of Wellington.

As a regional 'expert' you will spend a significant amount of time each year travelling overseas recruiting international students, identifying, and negotiating new business opportunities in multiple foreign markets. You will be culturally astute, and you take pride in how you foster and develop relationships both internally and externally. The role will have three direct reports, one based offshore, so experience in staff management is desirable. The regions of focus for this role are the US, Europe and the Pacific but are subject to change from time to time.

Key requirements

• A solid background in the analysis and interpretation of data and reporting on results.
• Proven experience in international student recruitment operations.
• Expertise of leading and driving market plans, with a strong sales ethos.
• Proven experience setting, striving, and achieving targets.
• Excellent oral and written communication skills, including high-quality presentation and report writing skills.
• Proven ability to successfully lead, manage and develop staff, with a driven, professional, customer-centric focus.
